Trio Subtonic w/ Dan BalmerTrio Subtonic is a groove heavy power trio out of Portland, Oregon that blends genre bending funk with slow burning underground soul jazz. Led by keyboardist Galen Clark (Outer Orbit, Sleater-Kinney, Anna Tivel), Subtonic explores a coalescence of rock, soul, funk and jazz that simultaneously draws in listeners and pushes boundaries. The lineup features Micah Hummel (Quickly, Quickly, Anna Tivel) on drums and Bill Athens on bass and often expands to the quartet featuring special guests such as Andy Coe, Cyrus Nabipoor, Dan Balmer, Jack Radsliff and more.
