Hailing from Akron, Ohio, The Shootouts are known for their energetic fusion of Rustbelt Americana, roots rock, and country music, which fans often refer to as country music for people who dont like country. The band has performed showcases at SXSW, AmericanaFest, and for Sirius XM Outlaw Country, and have shared the stage with Marty Stuart, Asleep at The Wheel, Steve Earle, Sheryl Crow, Jim Lauderdale, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Charley Crockett, Radney Foster, Chris Isaak and many more. On February 23, 2023, the Shootouts made their Grand Ole Opry debut, with five follow-up Opry performances throughout 2023 and 2024. Theyve been invited to make their Ryman Auditorium debut on January 4, 2025. Outfits from the bands debut Opry performance are currently exhibited at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.The Shootouts have been featured in Rolling Stone, The Boot, Wide Open Country, No Depression, American Songwriter, Sirius XM Outlaw Country, Saving Country Music, Holler, Glide Magazine, Nashville Scene, and more.
