The Phantom Blues Band was originally formed in the 1990s to back Taj Mahal on his album Dancing the Blues, but has since gone on to have a successful career in their own right while continuing to tour and record with Mahal. Taj Mahal (born Henry Saint Clair Fredericks in New York City on May 17, 1942) is an American Grammy Award-winning blues musician who incorporates elements of world music into his music.
