Frequently Asked Questions

Is there free parking near the UBS Arena?
While UBS Arena offers extensive on-site parking, free parking near the venue is extremely limited. The official parking lots surrounding UBS Arena in Belmont Park are paid, with rates varying depending on the event and parking lot proximity. Some concertgoers and sports fans look for street parking in nearby neighborhoods, but these options are scarce and often restricted by residential permits or time limits. To avoid parking hassles, it's recommended to reserve a spot in advance through the UBS Arena website or consider public transportation options such as the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) or local buses. Arriving early increases your chances of finding convenient parking but expecting free parking is not realistic for most events at UBS Arena.
Do you need a clear bag for the UBS Arena?
Yes, UBS Arena enforces a clear bag policy to enhance security and expedite entry for all events. Attendees are permitted to bring one clear bag that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" or a small clutch bag up to 4.5" x 6.5". Clear backpacks, clear tote bags, and clear purses are allowed as long as they comply with these size restrictions. Diaper bags and medically necessary bags are permitted but will be subject to additional screening. Non-clear bags larger than the clutch size will not be allowed inside the venue. For the latest details on the clear bag policy, always check the official UBS Arena website before your visit to ensure compliance and a smooth entry process.
How many people can the UBS Arena hold?
UBS Arena has a seating capacity of approximately 17,250 for concerts and up to 18,500 for hockey games and other sporting events. The arena was designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for various event configurations that can slightly adjust total capacity. For concerts, the stage setup—whether end-stage, center-stage, or in-the-round—can affect the number of available seats. As the premier entertainment venue on Long Island, UBS Arena offers modern amenities, excellent sightlines, and comfortable seating for large audiences. Whether you're attending an NHL game, a major concert, or a family show, UBS Arena's capacity ensures a vibrant atmosphere and outstanding acoustics for all guests.
What is being built next to the UBS Arena?
Next to UBS Arena, the Belmont Park Redevelopment Project is actively underway, transforming the surrounding area into a vibrant mixed-use district. One of the most notable additions is the construction of a new retail village, which will include shops, restaurants, and entertainment spaces, enhancing the overall visitor experience. There are also plans for a boutique hotel and additional parking structures to accommodate larger crowds. These developments aim to establish Belmont Park and UBS Arena as a year-round destination for sports, entertainment, dining, and shopping, making it more than just an event venue. For the latest progress and opening dates, check local news sources or the official UBS Arena updates page.
What are the best seats at the UBS Arena for a concert?
The best seats at UBS Arena for a concert depend on your preferences for sound quality, stage view, and overall experience. For those seeking an immersive, up-close experience, floor seats near the stage—especially in the first few sections (101-103 or Floor GA)—offer unparalleled proximity to the performers. If you prefer an elevated view with excellent acoustics, consider the lower bowl sections (104-110, 113-119), which provide a great balance between sightlines and sound. The club seats and suites offer premium amenities and comfort, ideal for those wanting a luxury concert experience. For optimal value, seats in the first few rows of the upper bowl still deliver clear views and vibrant sound at a more affordable price point.
