Bobby is a Grammy-nominated musician, having received a nomination at age eight for his duet Daddy What If with his father, Bobby Bare Sr. He broke Michael Jacksons record for youngest Grammy nominee. Bobby is certain this makes him better than Michael Jackson in every way. Bobby is a Nashville native who grew up immersed in the country music scene, influenced by family friends like Waylon Jennings, Randall Tex Cobb, and Jerry Reed. Bobby was lucky enough to collaborate with the Silver Jews on the song Getting Back into Getting Back Into You as a background singer Bobby is sure that blue is a flavor and NOT a color or feeling Bobby is a collaborator of Frank Blacks- of the band The Pixies and has been cowriting and producing songs that are planned to become the next Frank Black album Bobby has never been taken hostage by aliens from the planet ZURTRON 6 but hopes it will happen some day Bobby is a Nashville born and bred songwriter known for lyrics influenced by Shel Silverstein (who critiqued most of Bobbys early songs) that combine humor, pain, and anger Bobby grew up next door to George Jones and Tammy Wynett but never played golf with them or went camping Bobby is a touring and recording guitarist and backing vocalist for the indie rock band Guided by Voices, a role he took on in 2016.
