He was a member of The Crickets in the post-Buddy Holly era, and forged an impressive solo career along the way. Albert is out on the road in 2025/26 performing tracks from his newest album, Lay It Down recorded at the legendary Konk Studios in London. Albert Lee (born 21 December 1943 in Leominster, Herefordshire, England) is known as the guitarists' guitarist, having begun with Chris Farlowe & the Thunderbirds and then Heads Hands & Feet in the UK, he moved to the US to work with The Crickets and Emmylou Harris's Hot Band. In the early 80s he worked with Eric Clapton. He also played regularly with The Everly Brothers for over twenty years.
