Born Yolanda Jaen Lopez on the 27th of may 1955 in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico. She was the youngest of four children. At a very young age she started to listen to artists like Lola Beltran, Lucha Villa and Amalia Mendoza on the radio. Her mother encouraged her to sing. At school they also noticed her love for singing and they let her sing on special occasions. They called her "La Pequeña Gigante" She became a successful ranchera singer.
