There are at least 4 artists called The Exile. 1. The Exile was a short-lived punk band from Glasgow, United Kingdom. Formed in February 1977 they were one of Glasgow's first punk bands though the band classed themselves as rock or 'new wave' and, like many others, got sucked into punk's vortex. In their career the band released just two singles. Hampered like many other Scottish bands by lack of venues and unable to get gigs in London they managed only 14 gigs in 9 months in Scotland.
